I was introduced to MLM the old-school way (around 2012)…
It was a “one-on-one” Amway presentation from a friend who explained the deal with a flip-chart plan.
- Was instantly sold.
- Went to a couple Seminars.
- Recruited friends and family.
- Started planing my own strategies.
Told my strategy to my sponsor / upline:
“Let’s build a website that explains the deal. This way, we can send the people there.”
I purchased a laptop and jumped straight into the world of building an online business.
I was fast out of the gate and was making money, but it was never sustainable.
I eventually decided to partner with my uncle and start a family bricklaying business.
The knowledge and skills that I developed in the MLM game transferred to the bricklaying game.
Our competitors (many of which we had worked for in the past) were non-existent online.
A simple website and Google Business Profile did the trick.
We had phone calls coming in on the daily, our inbox became inundated with builders and home owners wanting our services.
We sucked when we first started, we were not that great, but we just kept going…
Over time, we got better at it…
We eventually built a fun, profitable family business:
But here’s the thing:
My vision and mindset with network marketing never went away.
I knew it never would.
In fact:
I never gave up on it.
Before I started the bricklaying business, I purchased 10 years of registration on NetworkMarketingLand.com.
I created this blog and got some things ready to go. Knowing that some day I’d be back.
